22/12/11 - Uzbekistan open championship Gymnastics for all starts

The open championship of Uzbekistan “Gymnastics for all” started at the Universal sports palace.

This traditional event is organized jointly by the Women’s Committee, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Gymnastics Federation and the Children’s Sports Development Fund at the Ministry of Education.

Gymnastrada – a combination of elements of art and gymnastics, aerobics, acrobatics, trampoline, folk, modern dance and fitness.

Therefore, it is becoming popular among our countrymen and acquired a mass character. Because gymnastrada may deal exclusively with all, even people with disabilities.

About 300 athletes in 20 member teams compete for the victory in this year’s open Championship of Uzbekistan “Gymnastics for all”.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Women’s Committee E.Basithanova spoke at the opening ceremony.
