On 30 May, President signed a resolution “On additional measures to further strengthen the social protection of lone elderly, pensioners and disabled people for 2011-2015 years.”

The document is aimed at further strengthening of social protection and increase of the quality of lone elderly, pensioner and disabled peoples lives, as well as strengthening material-technical base of medical and social institutions.

It involves, firstly, improving the legal framework of social service of lone elderly, pensioners and disabled people, and secondly, the improvement of social service systems of lone elderly, pensioners and the disabled people and the expansion and improvement of the quality of social services rendered them.

The President entrusted the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city administrations, as well as ministries, departments and other organizations with the ensuring timely and quality implementation of the program activities.

Ministry of Finance in the formation of the state budget is prescribed to provide the necessary funds to finance the activities of the program with wide involvement of sponsoring and charitable organizations for this purpose.
