Uzbek Industrial and Construction Bank (UZPSB) jointly with Tashkent State Economy University organized a contest for the best innovative business plan among students. Over 120 boys and girls competed at the contest, which was aimed at supporting new innovative plans and business plans by students.

“Increasing competition busts the need for businesses in new and innovative business ideas,” said Jahongir Abidjanov, the first deputy chairman of UZPSB. “Carrying out such contests gives the opportunity to realize a lot of developments and projects. Small businesses and enterprises are interested in improving the quality of their services and products through new ideas and young inventors in their practical development.”

Emphasis on competition was given to the economic relevance of projects and their importance for the development of small businesses and the ability to create new jobs.

Among the submitted works, the projects for wireless connection of computer networks, production of paper from local raw materials and improving the car parks had drawn attention.

The ceremony of awarding the winners took place at UZPSB building. The students of Tashkent State Economy University Laziz Eshonov, Azizbek Usmanov and Ruslan Bekchanov, Djahangir Shukurov, Mukaddas Ubaydullaeva and Akmal Salihov took first, second and third places, accordingly. The winners were presented with computers and money prizes.

Founded in 1922, UZPSB is one of the five largest banks in Uzbekistan. As of 1January 2011, for its very high level of creditworthiness, UZPSB was rated “stable” by Ahbor-Reyting agency.
