The annual festival of traditional culture Asrlar Sadosi (Echo of Centuries) will be held in Bukhara on 30 April – 1 May.
The event is jointly being organized by the Fund “Forum of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan” and UNESCO office in Uzbekistan.
This festival, credibility and international recognition of which is increasing, will be held within the execution of the presidential decree “On preparing and holding the celebration of 20 years of state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan,” dated 6 April of this year.
Currently, onsite works are being held to complete the preparations for the festival.
The celebratory program will begin with folk festivals at Ark ancient fortress and Labi Hovuz complex. Embodying the traditions and customs, folklore ensembles from different regions of the country will appear with their programs.
At the fair of arts and crafts the samples of gold embroidery, jewelry, woodcarvings, ceramics, carper weaving, including the kinds of handicrafts, which have been lost in the recent past and recovered through independence will be exposed.
It is expected that Asrlar sadosi will be attended by numerous guests from around the world.
