11/11/11 - Uzbek gymnasts win rhythmic gymnastics tournament in Moscow

At the international tournament of rhythmic gymnastics, held in Moscow, Russia, Uzbek gymnasts from Samarkand and Navoi regions won the main prizes of the contest, competing with more than 250 athletes from over 10 countries.

In the competition of sports masters, champion of Uzbekistan Maftuna Shamsieva won two gold medals for the exercises with hoop and ball, and a silver medal for performance with the ribbon. In the all-around, Shamsiyeva took the second place.

In their age categories in the all-around, Tahmina Ikramova won the gold, Maftuna Kuvondikova won three bronze medals for the exercises with hoop and ball and the floor exercise.

For the exercises with hoop and ball Shahzoda Gulyamova was awarded two bronze medals, Arai Nurmatova – one bronze medal, UzA informs.
