01/06/10 - An extensive choice of equipment was presented at Uzbekistan Agrominitech Expo-2010

An international specialized exhibition fair of mini technologies and compact equipment for agriculture Uzbekistan Agrominitech Expo-2010 took place at Uzexpocenter.

Farmers, entrepreneurs, managers of agricultural companies, representatives of Matlubotsavdo company and the wholesale and retail trade companies from the Republic of Karakalpakstan and all regions of the country took part in this exhibition organized by the Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Association of Farmers of Uzbekistan. Along with domestic enterprises about 200 companies from 25 countries such as Germany, Italy, France, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Israel, South Korea, China, Russia and Ukraine showcased their production and services. This year there were about 100 types of mini technologies and mini equipment on processing of agricultural and livestock production, preparation of seed and nursery plants of fruit-and-vegetable production, producing of feedstuff, gardening, winegrowing, fishery, poultry keeping and greenhouses as well as cooling systems, packaging-and-weighing equipment and chemicals for protection of plants. Within the exhibition there were presentations of technologies held by leading companies of the world, as well seminars on the crediting procedure on preferential terms for acquisition of technologies, their implementation in rural areas which, according to the organizers, promote opportunities of agricultural owners and the support in choosing the necessary equipment. Representatives of banks, leasing and transport companies, customs and tax services were invited to the exhibition to ensure more efficient conclusion of agreements, timely delivery of purchased technologies. Particularly, Agrobank offered a good piece of assistance to small businesses. During the first day of the exhibition they concluded agreements on financing more than 20 contracts between farmers and product companies.

In total, within the international specialized exhibition of mini technologies and compact equipment for agriculture Uzbekistan Agrominitech Expo-2010 more than one thousand agreements were signed.

Shaim Ochilov, the manager of farming enterprise Dur Gavhar of Mirzaobod district of Sirdaryo region:

At previous exhibitions I was able to buy four pieces of agricultural equipment via loans provided by Agrobank. And at the current exhibition I purchased fish processing equipment. Every year we sell more than 50 tons of fish. For the development of fishery, this year we are going to start processing more than 100 tons of produce.

Jura Helmut, managing director, Wachtel (Germany):

Our company is specialized in manufacture and delivery of ovens and different equipment for bakery. All sectors of economy including agricultural sphere are developing In Uzbekistan. The growth in the number of medium and small businesses specializing the bakery and confectionery is a bright evidence of successive development of private sector in your country. We want to consolidate and extend the partnership relations with the enterprises of Uzbekistan in this direction.

Due to the great attention paid by the government of Uzbekistan to the development of economy, your country has almost avoided the impact of the global financial crisis. This large exhibition is a bright evidence of that. All conditions for getting comprehensive information, holding talks on cooperation and conclusion of agreements and contracts were provided at the forum.

Our countries have really great potential in the development of mutual trade and economic relations. Today Uzbekistan and South Korea have the most favored nation treatment in economic. It worth mentioning that in conditions of global financial and economic crisis the Uzbek-Korean economic cooperation are developing at a growing rate and the volume of mutual trade turnover grows steadily. Our purpose is the further extension and consolidation of cooperation with Uzbek businessmen.
