Uzbek judoist Rishad Sabirov won a gold medal at the 28th Judo World Championship in Paris, France, becoming two times world champion.

About 900 athletes from over 130 countries are fighting for the main prize and important rating scores, which give the right to participate in the 30th summer Olympic Games in London in 2012.

In the 60 kg weight category, 74 athletes are competing. Rishad Sabirov, who deas in the International Judo Federation rating, defended his title of the world champion. In the pre-final meetings, he defeated Ludwig Chammartin from Switzerland, Hermann Zungran from Burkina-Faso, Felipe Kitadai from Brazil, Ilgor Mushkiyev from Azerbaijan and Jin Won Kim from South Korea, UzA informs.
