01/11/11 - Winners of first Tashkent Film Forum awarded

The ceremony of awarding the winners of the first Tashkent International Film Forum “Golden Cheetah” was held on Tuesday. The forum was held within the Art Week Style.Uz 2011, which is continuing in Tashkent.

The festival, held by the Fund “Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan” and the Uzbekkino National Agency, aimed at familiarizing the public with the new foreign and Uzbek films and tendencies in the world cinema market.

Apart from film demonstrations, the forum, which had a slogan “21st century civilization: dialogue of cultures”, included a number of cinema-related events, namely master classes with world-known filmmakers and actors, round tables and special projects.

The film “Lead” by famous Uzbek film director Zulfikar Musakov was named the best full-length film and the best film of the Tashkent Film Forum, UzA informs.

“Burned, Cooked, Raw” by Shahram Mokri from Iran was named the best short film of the “Golden Cheetah”.

The best animated film award went to “Mobile” by Verena Fels from Germany.

“When Love Comes” by Chang Tso-Chi from Chinese Taipei won the best direction award.

Polina Kutepova from Russia won the best female role award for the role in “The House of Wind” by Vyacheslav Zlatopolskiy.

Nozim Tulakhodjayev from Uzbekistan, who starred in “Postcriptum” by Yolqin Toychiyev, was awarded the best male role prize.
