Malikabonu achieves successes in Sambo

Malikabonu Mirzayeva is one of the girls effectively using the conditions and opportunities created in the country for women’s sport.

Malikabonu was born in 1993 in Jalakuduk district of Andijan region. Since childhood, she practiced in the Sambo section of the district’s youth sports school.

Jamoliddin Jiyanov was her first coach. Taking part in various competitions at district, regional, national levels she has achieved high results.

After finishing the school, she has entered the College of Olympic Reserve in Andijan region.

In college, she has trained constantly, worked tirelessly and followed all advices of her experienced instructors: Bakhrom Rasulov, Doniyor Yoqubov, Gulchehra Mamanova.

She learned the secrets of sambo directly from multiple champions of Asia and the world Dilnoza and Dilorom Qambarova, Shakhnoza Yuldasheva, Dildora Ubaydullayeva.

In 2009-2010, in her weight category she was awarded with the title of Champion of Uzbekistan, won the third place at the Asian Championship held in 2010, and in 2011 became the champion of Asia.

“2011 was particularly successful for Malikabonu,” says her coach Bahrom Rasulov. “Last year, she has won the second place among youth at the Sambo World Championship held in Riga in October. In addition, in the tournament Stars of Asia and the World, which was attended by the strongest sambo wrestlers from 18 countries, Malikabonu became the absolute winner in her weight category.”

“Currently I am preparing for the national and Asian championships,” Malikabonu said. “My goal is to become the winner of the competition, raise high the flag of Uzbekistan and to justify the trust of my teachers.”

Last year she graduated from college and became a student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Physical Culture of the State University of Andijan region.
