The triumph of a young violist from Uzbekistan Zebo Sobitova at the 6th Glazunov International Contest in Paris has become good news for the fans of her unique talent. The graduate of the Glier Republican Specialized Music Academic Lyceum left behind the musicians from France, Italy, Germany, Serbia, Russia and Japan and won the first prize.

The contest is organized once in two years. According to the terms of the contest, the program of its participants should without fail include concerts, sonatas and play by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Haydn, Shostakovich, and Paganini. Zebo Sobitova performed Tchaikovsky’s Reflection, Beethoven’s Rondo from the first sonata and Shostakovich's concert № 1.

“It is not the first triumph of Zebo. Before it, she won the second prize at the 5th International Competition The Muse Junior that took place in Greece,” told the deputy director of the Lyceum Jahongir Ibragimov. “Her play is quite sincere. I remember her very little when she came to our lyceum. Already at that time tutors were amazed by her perfect ear and faultless feeling of a rhythm. For the years of study at the lyceum she regularly participated in many concerts organized in our educational institution. Our lyceum has lots of talented youth. Our country gives much attention to supporting talents and the growing generation. We hope that at a coming academic year we will have even more participants and winners of international competitions.”

This year, Zebo will be admitted to the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan without entrance exams as the winner of two international contests. She is not going to stop in the reached, she constantly perfects her skills in techniques and acting, as she dreams to win the international audience.
