09/11/10 - Uzbek, South Korean businessmen discuss cooperation

Representatives of business circles of Uzbekistan and South Korea participated in a seminar organized on 3 November in Tashkent.

The event was organized in cooperation with the South Korean Importers Association, which was set up in 1970 and now unites over 9,000 members.

Among the participating South Korean companies were Hanshin International, Irvine Business Group, True Trading, Shiba Korea, Blue Bird, World Juice, Life and Line, ICT and others.

At the end of the seminar, a cooperation exchange was held for the participants, who could discuss concrete proposals and development of joint projects.

Uzbekistan and South Korea enjoy the most favored regime in the economic relations. Almost 360 joint ventures organized with Korean capital operate in Uzbekistan. 84 South Korean companies have their offices in the country.

Bilateral economic cooperation covers fields like car building, chemical, food and light industries, metal processing, pharmaceutics, tourism and others.
