Scenic Zomin awaits tourists

Uzbekistan due to its high potential in tourism and number of historical sites occupies a worthy place among the ten countries of the world.

There are more than 4 thousand historical and cultural monuments in Uzbekistan. Its ancient cities, beautiful nature and rich culture fascinating foreign tourists. The number of modern hotels and recreation areas is increasing.

A project aimed at demonstrating the development of tourism and investment potential of Zomin district of Jizzakh region is realized by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jizzakh regional administration, the UN Development Programme in the project “Support of local governance: civic participation and partnership”.

During the project, info-tour for the representatives of travel agencies and companies, as well as the media across Zomin district was organized by the Health Resort at the Council of Trade Unions Federation and the UN Development Programme.

Zomin located at the foot of the mountains at a height of 3,000 meters above sea level, is known for its unique nature, green spruce groves, healthy air and fragrant herbs.

Sanatorium Zomin is one of the important recreation areas in the development of tourism.

It is located at the 50 kilometers distance from the regional center on the northern slopes of Turkistan mountain ridge at an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level in the protected zone of spruce trees.

Therefore, the atmospheric pressure is relatively low and saturation of air with oxygen and ultraviolet rays are very useful for the treatment of upper air passages.

Treatment department of the sanatorium is fitted out with modern diagnostic-medical equipments and experienced doctors serve for patients.

Here, a variety of procedures, in particular, two indoor swimming pools, sauna, medical, bubble baths, various types of showers, underwater massage, mud therapies are offered for the treatment of tourists.

Treatment method of sodium chloride salt (halotherapy) and modern inhalation equipment are widely used at the resort.

At present, such types of tourism like ecotourism, extreme, educational, cultural and physical tourism also have been developing in Uzbekistan.
