A Next Generation Village
About 7,000 new homes are to be built in Uzbekistan’s rural areas this year by soft loans of Qishloq Qurilish Bank.
In accordance with the approved resolution of the Uzbek government on general parameters of construction of individual houses in rural areas for 2010, private homes through soft mortgage loans of the bank will be constructed in 159 districts of the republic. About 1,200 hectares of land areas are allocated for these purposes.
Uztransgaz is projected to lay 100 km of gas pipelines for the dwellings. Local budgets will fund the construction of about 95 km of water tubes, 70.6 km of power lines and 85 km of roads.
Experts estimate the construction will not only provide the population with qualified habitation, but also accelerate the production of building materials in Uzbekistan. The resolution also provides for Qishloq Qurilish Invest Engineering to launch building materials enterprises in 2010. In total it is projected to establish 14 building materials enterprises in Uzbekistan.
It should be noted last year Qishloq Qurilish Bank issued 60 billion soums for the construction projects in regions. In 2010 about 530 billion soums are to be allocated toward these purposes; 256 billion of them will be provided by the government. More than 670 specialized construction-repair organizations have been created in the country for the implementation of construction works.
Besides, the design institute Qishloq Qurilish Loyiha developed 31 standard projects and 16 unified projects of social facilities.
The mortgage loans are allocated to the population for a term of 15 years with 7% interest rate.
