30/12/10 - Young chess players compete in Samarkand

The republican tournament of Kamolot Checkerboard was held in Samarkand.

The competition was organized within the State program of the Year of Harmoniously Developed Generation” by the Central Council of Kamolot Public Youth Movement. About 100 students from all regions of Uzbekistan participated at the event.

Among the students of professional colleges, the hosts of the tournament took the first place, the second place was won by the representatives of Tashkent region, the third place – by chess play

In the competition among students of professional colleges took first place hosts the tournament, second place won by the representatives of the Tashkent region, the third – the young chess player of Navoi and Khorezm regions.

In the competition among school students the best representatives of the Syrdarya region were the best. The second place went to Fergana students, the students of Samarkand region and Karakalpakstan shared the third place.

The team event was won by students from Samarkand. The following places were occupied by the representatives of Syrdarya and Navoi regions, respectively.

More than 6,000 students competed in the qualifying stages of the contest. Held for the fourth time, the tournament promoted the chess playing among the youth.
