The South Korean manufacturer of specialized mounted equipment KCP Heavy Industries has established the assembly of modern concrete pumps in Uzbekistan

The South Korean company entered the market of Uzbekistan last year. Of course, it could pursue the policy of many foreign manufacturers and just import the finished equipment. However, KCP Heavy Industries took a strategic decision to transfer a part of the assembly process to Uzbekistan, as there are all the relevant conditions here - modern production facilities, manpower and raw materials.

“We have studied the market and selected the Samarkand producer of large-sized vehicles MAN as a partner. The company has provided facilities for the assembly of concrete pumps: we are responsible for the mounted equipment, and our Uzbek partners supply chassis. This year, we plan to increase the supplies to the local market,” said the company’s Sales Director Dilyara Ganiyeva.

Last year, the company delivered four pieces of equipment at more than 4 billion soums (currency rates of CB RU from 21.04.2016, 1$= 2893.92 soums). The delivery of about 20 items of mounted equipment, including some new items, is scheduled for the current year. Eight items are on their way to Uzbekistan.

As noted by Dilyara Ganiyeva, just few people knew about concrete pumps before their delivery to Uzbekistan. Meanwhile, the expensive machines have long ago proved indispensable for the construction of any object in the world. They accelerate the process by many times. That is why the concrete pumps are very popular, despite their high cost. Moreover, the customers tend to purchase the vehicles instead of just renting them, because it turns cheaper.

In view of the growing demand for construction services in the country, the company is planning to enlarge its footprint in the local market in the future. In this context, it is negotiating on the establishment of localization of production of some components at the facilities of the Uzavtotreyler company.

KCP Heavy Industries runs six plants in South Korea and the United States. All specialized equipment is produced at its own facilities, and hydraulic equipment it purchased from the German manufacturer Bosh. The equipment is exported to more than 40 countries.
