According to the World Health Organization, human health depends on the lifestyle and food at 50-52 percent, the environment at 20 percent and the level of medical care at 8-10 percent. Therefore, eating foods rich in vitamins and keeping a healthy lifestyle are the main factors of a healthy and long life.

A number of projects for the provision of quality health services to the population, health care, disease prevention are implementing in our country under the leadership of President Islam Karimov. Projects such as the “Promotion and support of breastfeeding”, “Vitamin A supplementation among children under five”, contribute to reduction of child mortality, improvement of the nation’s gene pool.

The adoption and implementation of the Law “On prevention of iodine deficiency disorders” and “On prevention of micronutrient deficiency among the population” contributed to further improve our citizens’ health.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, great results in a healthy and harmonious development of the younger generation are achieved with projects on the vaccination of children, providing them with vitamins.

On the basis of a national program in the area, the Week of children’s has been held twice a year health since 2003. A state national calendar of free vaccination of children against infectious diseases was created, deliveries of new means of vaccination are provided.
