n our country, health promotion, especially of mothers and children, is one of the priorities of the state social policy. Over the years, measures to improve the medical culture in families the creation of favorable conditions for the birth and upbringing of healthy generation are developed and consistently implemented.

2016 is declared the Year of a health mother and child, relevant government programs is also adopted. Along with the strengthening of the institution of the family, the protection of the interests of women, consistent continuation of work on maternal and child health, a lot of attention paid to issues such as strengthening the role of education in the formation of a healthy generation, the further expansion of the network of preschool educational institutions and improving the training of children to school by improving the quality of education in them.

The roundtable on the theme of medical culture in preschool educational institutions and secondary schools, conducted by the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis on Science, Education, Culture and Sport, was devoted to a comprehensive discussion of these issues. The event was attended by deputies, officials of the national Ministries of Education, Health, the Republican center of spirituality, heads of preschool educational institutions, representatives of relevant organizations, civil society institutions.

It noted that the country has created a strong legal basis for the implementation of youth policy. Laws “On state youth policy in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On Education”, “On protection of the health of citizens” and other normative-legal are for the education of boys and girls with high spirituality, characterized by independent thinking and a firm vital position, open-minded and modern knowledge. They also contribute to medical and legal culture of young people, ultimately - greater awareness of the importance of each citizen of a healthy lifestyle.

The participants of the roundtable focused on the tasks outlined in the State program “Year of a healthy mother and child”. It was stressed that in the framework of the relevant programs measures aimed at protecting women’s health, building people’s skills in observing the rules of sanitation and hygiene, strengthening the work in the implementation of appropriate childcare are consistently implemented. Among the important tasks are also wide popularization of physical culture and sport among young people, creating conditions for attracting girls from rural areas to the regular sports activities, training of highly qualified women coaches, the construction of new sports facilities and strengthening the material-technical base available.

Speakers of the event noted that reform in the education system is of the great importance in the education of a healthy child. According to them, today further development of the network of preschool educational institutions is a very important. The widespread introduction of information and communication technologies, improvement of curricula and facultative lessons on subjects related to increasing medical culture in pre-school educational institutions and schools. It emphasized that in this process it is important to constantly teach in the manner of control and analytical work of the course of execution of relevant laws and state programs to improve the scope of the legislation, ensure consistency of activities and promote a healthy lifestyle.

Following the discussion, proposals and recommendations, aimed at further improving the medical culture in the society, are made.
