07/10/10 - Days of Uzbek youth held in Azerbaijan

Friendly relations between Uzbek and Azerbaijani peoples are rooted back to centuries. Our people share similar national traditions, customs, language, culture and religious values. 

The mutual understanding, reached during the meetings of heads of the two states serve as important legal basis for the relations, which rose to a new level after independence. 

On 27-28 September of this year, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev paid an official visit to Uzbekistan. During the visit, a number of documents were signed to strengthen the mutual cooperation and economic relations. 

On 27 through 30 September of this year, the Days of Uzbek Youth was held in Azerbaijan, UzA informs. 

According to reports from the Central Council of Public Youth Movement of Uzbekistan Kamolot, the event was attended by leaders and activists of youth organizations, young actors, artists, crafts people and designers. 

In the Days of Uzbek youth a number of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, ministries and organizations of Azerbaijan held meetings to discuss the basics of youth policy in Uzbekistan and tangible results of work conducted in order to enhance the participation of young people in society. 

The exhibition of young Uzbek craftsmen and designers’ works was organized and rthe concert program of young performers was presented within the framework of the event.
